Click to call no longer works. Google does a great job of taking good ideas and completely destroying them. Good job morons!

Two issues: 1) it didn't work initially - after installation phone numbers on webpages can't be clicked. It asked to change permissions, but windows 10 doesn't offer option for google voice, only skype and others. uninstalled then reinstalled, restarted chrome, finally it works, but as others note, multiple clicks to call
2) it hogs CPU driving to 100% on two cores - high heat, high battery use: once uninstalled chrome went back to normal. will watch it.

Google quality & innovation continue to decline - they need a real competitor. Any alternatives?

What's the point? It just opens the Google Voice webpage in another tab. I can do that by going to the website. So many features (push notifications, streamlined UI, etc) could easily be included in an actual desktop app like the one we had for Google Hangouts.
