Set custom keyboard shortcuts for Chrome (browse to chrome://extensions/shortcuts).

This extension adds the ability to set 25 different custom keyboard shortcuts for Chrome. Without this extension, Chrome doesn't have the ability to change or override any default keyboard shortcuts.

By design, this extension does not require any additional Chrome permissions at all. Everything is performed locally in Chrome, so it does not need access to any sites or data.

All 25 keyboard shortcut settings are optional and can be changed at any time.

Chrome extensions are currently limited to 4 "suggested_key" defaults. The first 4 shortcuts have default values (which can be changed), but you'll need to set values for any other shortcuts that you wish.

All keyboard shortcuts can be changed at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. You can navigate there via your address bar, or by clicking the Keyboard Shortcuts extension icon.

Interesting extension for people who love keyboard shortcuts. I wanted to set a shortcut that would open Chrome's Manage Extension page when I press "⌘;". However, that key combination isn't available for some reason. I've not decided on another combination that I'd like to use, but I'll keep this extension anyway.

IMPORTANT: When this extension is installed, it overrides some of the shortcuts that have been in use for years. For example, if you're used to using "⇧⌘→" to select next tab and "⌘→" to move the cursor to the end of the line, then you're in for a surprise when "⌘→" selects the next tab instead! Go to the extension keyboard shortcuts for this extension to turn off all the shortcuts you don't need.

It would be helpful if this extension had its own option panel to manage sets of keyboard shortcuts. For example, select "Chrome default" to get the shortcuts that come with Chrome or select "Keyboard Shortcuts extension" to get its default shortcuts and maybe give an option for the user to make their own sets.

PS: This extension needs a new name! "Keyboard Shortcuts" is too generic! Name it something special and unique like "KbdShrtcts".

Ever since installing this extension, typing "r" and then "e" right after on my keyboard would reload the current tab. This happens every time. When I disable the extension, it stops happening. Can you please check on this possible bug with the extension?

Extension on point!
small, light, easy,
only one shortcut I care about is missing: the new tab on the right,
can it be done?
