There are many "web blockers" in the Chrome Web Store but WasteNoTime is the only extension that requires the minimal permission (accessing your browser navigation history only) to do its job. Other extensions like Stayfocusd would require permission to “read and change all your data on all the web sites that you visit”.

WasteNoTime is not only privacy conscious but it is highly customizable and feature rich.
* Instant Lockdown: Allows you to focus on your work for a period of time undistracted
* Per-site setting: Allows you to customize the time quota for a particular web site
* Work hour setting: allows you to define separate time quotas for your work and non-work hours
* +Links setting: Allows you to track time spent not only on the web site itself but on any link navigated from it. Super useful for web sites like Reddit or Hacker News.

ִֶָ 2022-05-02 a decir verdad me está resultando súper útil! me gusta que no es necesario cargar la página para que se bloquee en el horario establecido, y además las citas me motivan un montón jajaja por el momento le pongo 5 estrellas! ^^
Zuri 2022-04-30 I really like this app. I love being able to see the amount of time spent on various sites, and I also really like the Instant lockdown feature. Personally I think it's good that there's no way to turn it off because I sometimes think "Oh I'll just do this quick thing" when I'm supposed to be working, and I'm glad I can't. I docked a star because I'd really like to be able to see how long I've got left when using Instant Lockdown--there should be a countdown or timer or something I can check. And also because the time accrued on each site seems to also include any open tab rather than when I'm actively using the website. I tend to have a lot of tabs open, so I feel like this skews the data a bit. But I still really like it and recommend it.
Nicola 2022-04-19 I rely on this so much, maybe too much, to keep my procrastination habit at bay. Pretty simple once it's set up and a lot harder to 'get around' than screentime limits on my iphone, which I like.
Danielle Barnham 2022-04-08 I'm addicted to Twitter. I admit it. My working productivity has plummeted as I spend hours just doom scrolling. I decided to try and have a set time during the day where I can't social media at all. I now give myself five hours to work. I've been smashing my quotas and then some. I have so much extra time left over after working I end up cleaning up more, reading more, and just chilling and contemplating more story ideas. It's been fantastic ... I do still get that "gotta check it" niggle from time to time, but its moved to the back of the head instead of hammering me from front of my mind all the time.

Actually I didn't want to remove my instagram account, I just needed to use that just about 20 minutes a day. This app have the freature for limit yourselft at epecially time. I love it..
