Customize the new tab URL.

Chrome does not let you customize new tab page. The new tab page always opens a custom Google Search page and chrome extensions do not work on this page.

This extension lets you point the new tab page to a URL of your choice. It can just be Google.com, your company's homepage or simply a blank page. It is lightweight on your browser (<50kb - compared to for example Grammarly which is 36MB), has no tracking and is straight-forward to use.

If you at anytime want to disable custom new tab, you can do that by going to chrome://extensions and disabling this extensions.

Exaclly what I wanted. Use a cutom site as your new tab. Beats me having to press the home icon or the site again when I can just simply use this. SearchThat has all my links in the speed dial so this awsome. Thanks.

Jan 9, 2023 Exactly what I wanted. Use a custom site as your new tab. Beats me having to press the home icon or the site again when I can just simply use this. SearchThat.net has all my links in the speed dial so this awesome. Thanks.

Feb 2, 2023 Update: Still loving it. I don't need to deal with any basic speed dial page. I have all the functions I need from ST. Never remove this from the web store. If you do, I'll take it over and keep it up.
