Identify companies to boycott while you shop.

A chrome extension that lets you know what companies to boycott and why.

Collective Economic Pressure = Real Change

We empower individuals by helping them exercise their freedom of expression through peaceful economic means and bring justice for the oppressed.

For too long, injustices have been carried out world-wide with little meaningful response from the international community.

Enough is enough.

If nation states won’t do what’s right, the people will. It’s time to give individuals the tools needed to impact positive change. In numbers, we are powerful.

The tables have turned. As a unified community, we are powerful.

Help make change happen 👊🏼

How does it work?

It's simple. As you browse the internet, our chrome extension will automatically warn you if you open a website of a company supporting oppression.

Importantly, we also give you a clear explanation as to why this company has been boycotted with links to any reports. It's then up to you to make an informed ethical decision.

To start with, we will be mainly boycotting companies complicit in illegal settlements in the West Bank according to this UN Report (https://undocs.org/en/A/HRC/43/71).

• • •

Why this matters?

You, the consumer, have power. And that power grows significantly with numbers. When you buy from a company, you're casting a vote in support of its activities, values & mission. In contrast, not buying from these companies sends a message. That you the consumer want to see change.

Now imagine if hundreds of thousands or millions sent the same message. Collectively, we have the ability to make real change happen.

• • •

Why do I need this extension?

Boycotts can be extremely effective. However, until now they've been difficult to implement on a scalable level. Where before you had to cross-check companies against various lists, now you can simply download an extension. We do all the work for you.

• • •

Our mission?

Our aim at Ethicly is to make it easier for individuals to use their power as consumers to impact change ... and we're starting with boycotts.

• • •

The future of Ethicly?

Our decision to focus on Palestine-Israel is based on significant recent events and years of well-documented reputable reports and condemnations around illegal settlements in the West Bank and the maltreatment of Palestinians.

However, we won't stop here.

Atrocities are taking place across the world. We believe it's our duty to stand up to them. Focussing on one cause is key to getting started, however, we have long-term goals to branch out and address many more injustices world-wide.

Great idea but, understandably, it needs a lot of work. No warnings showed up when I tried browsing sites of well-known brands to boycott like SodaStream and Puma. Would also be important to add warnings when users are browsing products from companies to boycott on other websites. Eg. if someone is looking at HP laptops on Amazon, it should give a warning.

Amazing initiative, but needs work; understandable as it's just been launched. Sites for Sabra Hummus, HP, & SodaStream don't work for example. Down the line it would be great if this could scan for keywords or product names like Honey, so if someone is buying an HP Laptop online on something like Walmart, it could alert you. Please let me know if you need any assistance with research.
