An open-source DNS-based ad-blocker that operates based on host filtering to block ads, malware, phishing hostnames
The "Host AdBlocker" is an ad-blocking extension that uses host matching instead of RegExp matching to increase blocking performance and reduce memory footprint.
How it works:
This extension installs a static hostname list to the incoming filter to block advertisement, tracker, and analytic sources. If a hostname matches, the request gets blocked. If not, the request gets processed as usual. Extensions like "uBlock Origin" or "AdBlock Plus" use the RegExp matching method. Although this method is more powerful, it is computationally expensive.
1. You can extend the default filtering list by adding your custom domain names in the backlist hostnames on the options page.
2. To completely ignore a hostname, add it to the whitelist
3. This extension runs on manifest v3. This means that blocking performance is native.
4. You can toggle the extension on and off with a single click on the action button.
Default hostnames are collected from these lists:
Extra hostname rules:
Please include an option to use different host lists like oisd.nl or energized.pro

Dear developer its a great chrome addon. Please add the functionality to give the hosts url other than the default ones to use. If you could make Energized adblocking list as the default would be great. Energized list is being updated continuously. Please find the link here.

I liked how this extension employ simple yet very useful way of blocking ads on the web.
An actually good adblocker. It's extremely simple to use, you just click the button to turn it on and click it to turn it off. You can set up whitelists just like other adblockers, but it also allows you to set up blacklists so you can allow websites to make money by default and leave scammy ones like Ad.fly turned off for good. Most importantly however, it's open-source and doesn't require any permissions other than to modify websites! My favorite adblocker on the chrome web store by far.
