Enables IBM® Rational® Functional Tester - Web UI support for web applications

Test web applications that are already running within existing Chrome browser tabs and windows

The Chrome browser extension for Rational Test Workbench Web UI adds power and flexibility to the Web UI testing capability of IBM® Rational® Test Workbench. With this extension you can record from a running browser instance that is already in the desired state. This allows you to take a more modular approach to your test effort because you can now create separate recordings for each application scenario or update the existing test without needing to include the initialization process with each test. Afterwards, you can combine the application scenarios into automated test suites.

Unfortunately, since IBM Rational Test Workbench 9.0.1, this plug-in does not work at all.

It will neither record nor run any tests.

Chrome always opens to the URI "data;" and the plugin fails to communicate with Test Workbench. It also attempts to open the browser in developer mode, which disables all plugins (including itself), which defeats the purpose of testing as a real world client.
