Show URLs in all link title tooltips and allow custom title tooltip appearance.

Show URLs in all link title tooltips and allow custom title tooltip appearance.

Rather than moving your focus away from the mouse to see the destination of a URL, this will show the URL in a tooltip near the mouse when you hover over a link.

You can either use your system tooltip (default), or specify a custom tooltip (with completely customizable styles using CSS). You may even have all tooltips appear with the custom tooltip style, too!

This is a Free and Open Source extension. Look at the project on GitHub: https://github.com/nmbook/linktips-chrome

Awesome, Exactly what I needed. I have to go through a bunch of CMS pages for the past year and update any unsecured links from "http://" to "https://". This not only saved me and my eyes from staring at the bottom left hand corner, it even made it even easier by displaying green for "https:" text and grey for "http:" text. I was even able to edit the css in the options to make the tooltip font size much larger.

Awesome that you can make your own style... there's an annoying bug in Chromium that after I do SELECT the hover link tooltip doesn't show up anymore, and seems like Google doesn't care fixing it... thanks for this widget!!!

I have made a CSS that makes it look as original, but unfortunately the position is impossible to be made static and at the bottom left.
Also it waits for the page to be fully loaded.

Anyway solved it by getting Chromium 64.
