Mobile View Switcher is a lite extension that let you switch a website to mobile view. Default mobile view is iPhone with iOS 15 but you can change it from the options page.

Simply add a desired user-agent to change the mobile view to your desired one. There are many websites that offer user-agent strings for various devices. Simply copy and paste the desired one in the designated area in options page. Then reload any website to see the mobile view UI (while the addon is active).

Toolbar button serves as ON|OFF switch to enable or disable the addon. Grey color for toolbar icon is when the addon is inactive and yellow color is for the active state. Simply click on the toolbar icon to switch states.

cannot revert back to desktop mode

This extension consumes 100% cpu from time to time.

The application does not work, the screen does not change

While the extension "works" from time to time, there has been an abnormal CPU usage while using it, The chrome process would average ~50% CPU usage after leaving the browser window open for some time. chrome task manager points at the "Chrome" process as using % however, after turning on/off all my extensions, once i turned off this one, the CPU usage dropped from 50% all the way to 5% while streaming 4K 60 youtube.

If you have abnormal CPU usage in chrome / heat this might be the casue. not sure whats going on here

enabling this extension causes my main chrome browser process to use 100% of a processor core after the browser has been up for a while, had to disable it
