It works well when it's actually working. Sometimes when reading multiple paragraphs or even a single paragraph. Multiple lines get combined and are read in a jarring continued sentence. At the end of one sentence, the period is read out as dot, so I have issues parsing what's being said because the sentence continuance makes little sense. I tried using the pronunciation editor, but it fails often and so when coming across certain formatting, what's read isn't what I expect.
Pronunciation editor only works occasionally in fact.

There's a pause when coming across bold font, but at this point it's expected. What's not expected is hearing the pause every other word as the reader goes on the fritz and i have to restart Natural Reader, refresh the page, or restart Chrome entirely. All of these issues occur with free and premium voices which makes me not even consider purchasing this product yet alone stickling with the free version. I have to look elsewhere. Too bad, because being able to highlight certain lines and select read in place is very useful. When it works, it works well, but it barely works.

Recommended for students who have a hard time reading rather than listening. Its good that they have free option. And please user who clearly doesn't read the options (btw there are 3 options 1-free, 2-premium*paid*, and 3-plus*paid*), don't leave or destroy this just product because you dint read it clearly and carefully.

This app was perfect until this recent update. I almost upgraded to premium, but it seems to have changed a bit too much in a short time. I (just the other day) used to be able to read on google docs (nearly) flawlessly. But now, the reader starts reading where ever it wants to, and when it does start where I want it to, it only reads a maximum of two pages before I have to manually get it to read the next pages. Sometimes it takes me all the way to the beginning of the document for no apparent reason. I really miss the way it was before. I can get used to the new design, but these issues are hard to work with. I may have to give up my favorite extension. Goodbye NaturalReader. I've done some great work with you.
EDIT: The app seems to be flowing a lot better now, but I still have some issues with it. The reader at times loses its place or rearranges the order in which something is read. I suppose nothing is perfect, but this app would be pretty close to it if not for those issues. I'm happy that I didn't drop the extension right away, though,
