This was working fine for me, then around three weeks ago, the extension/app combination (Chrome and Mac OSX app) stopped working. The app would open but usernames/passwords were not automatically filled.

So, I tried uninstalling both the Chrome Extension and the OSX app itself, restarted my computer and then began reinstallation. Was everything removed during uninstallation? No. Even using a "Clean My Mac" app, there are still traces left behind because when relaunching the app, it knew my username, so the uninstall process was not clean.

After re-installing, now when clicking on the icon to fill in a username/password, it just opens a Nordpass webpage that tells me to install the app. I already have the app, I have already logged in (via the Chrome browser) to the app and yet still, the extension clearly does not know the app is installed.

Before I get the standard response saying "drop us an email at [email protected]" or "make sure you are using the latest version", I have already done that. I received no suggestions at all and even when following up, all I am told is that they are aware of the situation.

Support system is flawed, there's no issue tracking system, no way to monitor known bugs, no way to get feedback. I've now been sat for over three weeks paying for a service that I cannot use.

As a satisfied NordVPN user, I thought that signing up for a subscription would make sense, how wrong I was. The extension/app just do not communicate, it is utterly useless and I'm now having to think about ditching this and buying an alternate service as this clearly isn't up to scratch.

Very easy to use and tools are great. Great way to increase security of passwords by generating complicated ones, scanning for breaches, etc. Also makes it easy to be aware of deficiencies & learn best practices. Sorting passwords by folders & sharing them is also very useful.

I also have the desktop app and the only things I find that are lacking (both on the extension & app) are the following:
- Does not work for apps, only for online websites (Normal for extension but should be available on app - you could make a manual entry and always copy/paste the information to work around this)
- I'm unable to only save a Username with no password - Kind of annoying for sites that require a different password for each login (for example bank authorization tokens, etc)
- Password updating does not always work (usually the "change password" page is a different URL address than the login page & Nordpass doesn't seem recognize they are the same credentials) - Make sure to manually update your passwords on the extension each time
