Chrome Notepad is a very simple notepad extension for Chrome that can sync notes to all your Chrome installations!
Features:
- Saves notes.
- Remembers the last caret position (and scroll offset).
- Reports last update.
- Syncs notes (and caret position, scroll offsets) to all your computers.
Latest changes:
- Configurable font size.
- Configurable notepad size.
- Syncing on by default.
- Fixed some syncing issues.
- Bigger input area.
On syncing:
This extension includes syncing capabilities by utilizing the bookmark syncing mechanism of Google Chrome.
In order for the syncing to work, you will have to enable bookmark syncing.
Once you do that, a folder named BSync will show up in your "Other bookmarks" folder. Please don't remove it.
Syncing takes place every 5+ minutes (if needed).

In case sync is not working as it should, try to stop syncing for your Google account, restart Chrome and enable it back again.

Lack of dark mode and option to view that addon i.e., as in new tab rather than only in popup makes this limited. Also sync I dont trust much. Give us support to backup to google drive. |

Pretty much everything you want in an unencumbered note app. I especially like how you can highlight text on a webpage and add it directly to Notepad via context menu! |

GREAT little notepad! So convenient, runs smoothly, and automatically saves your note if you click away. I love that it has more features than a regular notepad (bold, italics, numbering and bullet points easily accessible, etc). If I could suggest ONE thing to improve, it would be the little notes that appear on the bottom right talking about COVID safety. While the message is appreciated, it's a bit outdated and seems more fitting for March of 2020 than April of 2022 considering most of the info (wash hands, cover mouth when coughing) is common knowledge now. I'd suggest replacing those with little daily messages about productivity or inspirational quotes to get work done. That'd be a very nice feature, or at least give the option of turning the messages off for those of us sick of hearing the same 'wash your hands, stay home if unwell' rhetoric for the past 2 years haha. Anyway, it's super convenient and easy to use. Waste no more time reading reviews and just install it and get to work! |
