Disclosure: I'm a paid editor for Play it My Way.

But...I only became an editor because I like the extension so much.

It's still in development and not without flaws, but it's fantastic even as it stands.

It mutes audio and skips scenes the same as other services, but it also allows for audio to be played while blocking video. This is much less invasive and lets the user keep up with the plot.

In cases where the entire scene must be skipped, a pop-up can be used to summarize whatever was missed so that the user isn't left guessing how the characters got from A to B.

As for the flaws, the library is very limited and quality, new releases need to be added. The site and interface need a more attractive design, and some (very few) videos don't filter as expected.

However, these are all flaws that can (and likely will) be addressed with more time, and Play It My Way hasn't even officially launched.

Seeing that it's currently free to use, there's no reason you shouldn't give it a try!
