It's definetly still alpha but the functionality is so amazing! This is so useful for exporting it to after effects to animate a page for a video. Although illustrator won't read this svg.

Because of it's alpha status there is a good possibility that you might get an error (you can see this in de browser console) and it wont work. I found a way to still get your page as an svg, it requires a bit of work but that's okay.

First you need to download the html of the page including all the media etc.
I used the 'save page WE' plugin for this but there are probably plenty others that do the same. (the default ctrl+s doesn't save enough things from the page so that doesn't work).
Then you need to host that html file to a webserver of your choice and open that in your browser.
If all is good you should have the same page, but now hosted as a single html file.

Now you can use the svg screenshot plugin and it should work (atleast, so far this has worked reliantly for us).

If you also want to use it in illustrator you need a few more steps to make it work.
First of all open the svg in a browser and press ctrl+p to print.
Then select save as pdf in your devices dropdown menu.
Choose the biggest page format, A0, and under options select background graphics.
Now you should have the vector file as a pdf.

You can easily load this pdf into illustrator, all you need to do is remove the white page canvas behind everything and crop the artboard.

Even though this is still a very early alpha, this plugin has been a lifesaver.
If the developer wants to contact me to know which errors we encountered and debug these, please contact me.
