I think that so far, for what I'm using it for, it's the best tool that is not specifically for reading manga...
In some cases, it's better for reading manga than some tools that are advertised to be able to so that...
By that I mean, it can recognize Japanese characters better than many other apps I have tried, provided the text is in a standard font...
But it does suffer from the same issue many other OCR programs suffer...
It fails to read stylized text, or text that is in color (specifically white text with colored stroke)
and it can't correctly read vertical text, even if it is in a standard font....
- It can read the characters, but they won't be in the correct order...
- It will just read the first character of each line, space, followed by the second character of each line, and so on...
- Sometimes, when the text is written vertically, it will repeat characters...
