This extension filters profanity words in Netflix. It both censors the subtitles and mutes the audio on the appropriate sentence. With customizable profanity word list.

To use this, subtitles in Netflix need to be turned on. Because the filtering is based on the subtitles, make sure you add profanity words to the list in the language of the subtitles.

This does not work with Netflix audio.

Takes a little bit to get started, but works well. I noticed it will blank out the audio for whatever chunk of text is in the subtitle, not just the offending word. Have you considered integration with a service like put.io? That would really expand its utility! And thanks!

This filter is not working. I have added the words, in the format provided and saved them. In the Netflix app, I have turned on the subtitles in Netflix and the profanity just continues. When I go to Netflix through the Chrome browser, the subtitles shrink to a strange line with, widely tiny spaced letters and there's no sound of voices at all. Please can someone help.

Great app for teachers! Often documentaries are rated mature because of language which is unfortunate because there are so many good ones that cant be shown in class. This app allows me to share clips without worry. Thank you!
