This extension is a dream! I'm one of those saps who actually pays $10 per month for Youtube Premium specifically because I loathe ads of any kind. The proliferation of these long, obnoxious sponsored segments infuriated me, drove me to just give on watching some channels all together and seriously reconsider continuing to pay for Youtube (my only hesitation was over losing my extra Drive storage). Then I found the miracle of SponsorBlock! Google/Youtube should thank you for doing their job for them. Frankly, content creators should also thank you: they can still monetize their channels while still getting credit for views from ad-haters like me. It's a win-win! Oh, and the fact that it also lets me block other BS like long intros, pointless previews, tangents, annoying music, etc. is a huge bonus. |
